Sometimes, you may see a “Disc I/O error” when attempting to sign in to Skype: “Disk I/O error. Quit and restart Skype. If you keep seeing this error, please contact Skype customer support.” To resolve this issue, first make sure that you are using the  latest version of Skype . If the problem persists, we suggest uninstalling and reinstalling Skype: Quit Skype by ctrl-clicking the Skype icon and selecting  Quit .
